Graduation Requirement Information

These are the Washington State Requirements for a student to receive a diploma:

STATE & LOCAL SUBJECT AREA REQUIREMENTS

 

LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION ARE:

1. Apply to at least 1 college or trade school

 https://apply.ctc.edu/user  WA State Community Colleges and Tech Programs

2. Fill out and submit a FAFSA application form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

***Both student AND parent must have an FSA ID or account created through the link below

3. Type and submit a "Where I Stand Essay"

4. Need to turn in 3 Letters of Recommendation, cannot be an immediate family member

5. Volunteer for someone who is not an immediate family member or a business in the community.  These can be started during Freshmen year.

Cass of 2026: 20 hours

Class of 2027 and beyond: 40 hours
